Man dies, two hurt in stabbing at Denny's

Three men were stabbed, one fatally, at a southwest Denny's parking lot early Sunday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Police did not identify the man who was killed. A suspect was arrested, Lt. Lew Roberts said.

Police were called to the Denny's at 9310 W. Tropicana Ave., near Fort Apache Road, about 7:30 a.m.

Roberts said the suspect confronted the three men in the parking lot.

"This was likely all over a female," Roberts said.

Two of the stabbing victims were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where one later died. The third victim was taken to Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center.

Roberts said the two injured men are expected to survive. One victim was slashed in the arm. The other victim was stabbed in the chest.
