Police said he ran a red light at the intersection and was not wearing a seat belt.
The conditions of the three occupants in the Pontiac were not released.

Las Vegas police said a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo driven by 44-year-old Mabel Armas was heading north on Sandhill and turned left in front of the motorcyclist, who lost control and slid into the right side of the Isuzu.
Ice was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
MURDER TRIAL DELIBERATIONS
Spector jury goes home for weekend
The jury deliberating in Phil Spector's murder retrial has recessed for the weekend without a verdict.
The Los Angeles Superior Court jury spent a few hours in talks before its scheduled Good Friday departure.
The panel has deliberated in fits and starts because of illness and holiday interruptions since getting the case March 26. The 69-year-old Spector is accused of second-degree murder in the gunshot death of 40-year-old actress Lana Clarkson.
She died from a bullet fired in her mouth as she sat in Spector's foyer in 2003. The defense claims it was suicide.
BUDGET SHORTFALL CONCESSION
Firefighters agree to skip pay raise
A union representing Sparks firefighters has agreed to forgo a 4.2 percent pay raise they were scheduled to get this year to help the city address a budget shortfall.
City Manager Shaun Carey praised the International Association of Firefighters Local 1265 on Friday for offering the concession that will save the city about $430,000.
Before the deal can go into effect, it must be approved by the City Council as it works to cut $1.7 million from the city budget for fiscal year 2009-10.
Local President John Warner says the union backed the move unanimously to help make sure there is no reduction in fire or rescue service.
Sparks Fire Chief Andy Flock said without the pay agreement, the city likely would have had to shut down some fire stations or engine companies.
