Man fatally shot in courtyard is ID'd
The man gunned down in an apartment complex on Martin Luther King Boulevard near U.S. Highway 95 on Monday night has been identified as Jai Ray.
The 26-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the courtyard of the Desert Park Apartments, at 100 S. Martin Luther King.
Police were called by someone reporting that a person had been shot at 10 p.m. Ray died at the scene.

Man killed in crash was Las Vegan, 24
The man who died after losing control of his pickup truck on Interstate 15 early Tuesday has been identified as Justin Tyler Sanders, 24, of Las Vegas.
Sanders was driving a Nissan truck north about 30 miles northeast of Las Vegas when he lost control and slid into the median at 5:20 a.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The truck struck the inside guardrail of the southbound lanes and flipped over. Sanders was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man held on charges of child abuse, porn
A 55-year-old Nye County resident was arrested last week on charges stemming from an alleged inappropriate relationship with a minor, the Nye County Sheriff's office said Wednesday.
Thomas Rudzena was arrested Friday on charges of promotion of sexual performance of a minor, use of a minor in producing pornography, sexual assault with a child under 14, lewdness with a child under 14 and child abuse.
The sheriff's office said Rudzena came to the attention of authorities after a person obtained inappropriate photos of the child from Rudzena and turned them over to law enforcement.
An investigation indicated that Rudzena had assaulted the child for a prolonged period.
He was booked into jail on $500,000 bail.
