LOSS OF CONTROL
Police identify dead motorcyclist
A Henderson man who died last week after losing control of his motorcycle on Warm Springs Road was identified as Ronal Urrutia.
Urrutia, 46, lost control of his 2001 Honda motorcycle while heading east on Warm Springs Road between Valle Verde Drive and Arroyo Grande Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. Friday, Henderson police said.
For an unknown reason, the bike started to skid, then locked up, causing it to slide. Urrutia was transported to St. Rose Siena Hospital where he died, police said. He was wearing a helmet.
HEAD-ON COLLISION
Crash victim identified as Arizona resident
The victim of a head-on collision Saturday on U.S. Highway 93 has been identified as Jason Matthew Riggle.
The 20-year-old Glendale, Ariz., man was dead at the scene of the 10:25 p.m. accident on U.S. 93, some 60 miles south of Kingman, Ariz.
Officials said Riggle was southbound when his 2005 Mitsubishi crossed the center line striking a northbound Kenworth semi tractor trailer. The driver of the big rig, Charles Martin Rapillus, 48, of Meridian, Idaho, and Riggle's passenger, Brittany Nicole Goodall, 18, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., were transported to a Kingman hospital for treatment of their injuries.
LAS VEGAS FATAL SHOOTING
Police say dice player was Bryan Jackson
A Las Vegas man who was fatally shot last week while playing a dice game near Washington Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard has been identified as Bryan Jackson.
Las Vegas police said Jackson, 42, was playing dice on the 1000 block of Morgan Avenue about 7 p.m. Friday when another man got angry and shot him. Jackson was taken to University Medical Center where he later died.
OFF-ROAD ACCIDENT
Dune buggy victim was California man
A Phelan, Calif., resident killed in Saturday's off-road recreational vehicle accident about 20 miles southeast of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., has been identified as Morgan Matthew Malacco.
Malacco, 50, died at the scene of the accident.
The 2006 Yamaha dune buggy Malacco was operating struck an embankment and rolled. His passenger, Barbara Weilage, 53, Golden Shores, Ariz., was flown to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of her injuries.
