Pedestrian, 58, dies crossing Rancho Drive

A pedestrian crossing against a "Don't Walk" signal was struck and killed Wednesday on Rancho Drive, Las Vegas police said.

About 5:35 p.m., Nancy Lynne Williams, 58, of Boulder City, was crossing the street at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard when she was hit by a 1999 Saturn heading south. Her body then was thrown into the path of a 2004 Hyundai. Williams was taken to University Medical Center, where she died.

Neither the Saturn's driver, Jessica Conners, 25, of Las Vegas, nor the Hyundai's driver, Dennis Kammeyer, 55, of Las Vegas, was injured.

Woman hit, killed by pickup identified

A female pedestrian who was hit by a pickup and killed Tuesday night has been identified as Nicole Danielle Blood, 30, of Henderson.

She died at the scene of the 9:15 p.m. accident on Sahara Avenue near Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas police said. Witnesses said she staggered into the road before being hit.
