Man dies in crash after car flips on beltway
A motorist died after he flipped his vehicle on the Las Vegas Beltway on Saturday night, authorities said.
The man was driving a Mitsubishi sport utility vehicle east on the Beltway between Aliante Parkway and Losee Road shortly before midnight, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. His identity was not released.
Trooper Kevin Honea said it was unknown why the man lost control of his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vehicle hits, kills man; driver leaves scene
A man walking on the Eastern Avenue onramp to U.S. Highway 95 on Saturday night was struck and killed by a driver who left the scene, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Sunday.
The man, whose identity was not released, was struck by a car Saturday on the southbound ramp about 10:15 p.m., trooper Kevin Honea said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Honea, witnesses at the scene said the driver who left the scene was driving a blue or black sedan. Witnesses said the driver continued southbound on U.S. 95 and exited the highway on Charleston Avenue, Honea said.
