IN BRIEF
MACK ON TRIAL
Jury selection in Reno murder case continues
The jury pool in the Darren Mack murder case is growing.
Court officials said four potential jurors will continue on in the selection process after being interviewed Friday by defense and prosecution lawyers.
Mack is facing a murder charge in the stabbing death of his estranged wife and an attempted murder charge in the shooting of the Reno family court judge who was handling the couple's divorce.
The case was moved from Reno to Las Vegas after a judge decided Mack couldn't get a fair trial in his hometown.
Jury selection is scheduled to continue Monday.

The actress has three other children, Chris, Izabella Gabrielle and Katya Ariel.
SULFURIC ACID CASE
Workplace fatality called accidental
The coroner of California's San Mateo County says that an 18-year-old man whose father found him dead in a vat of a sulfuric acid solution last month died of an accidental drowning.
Toxicology tests showed no signs of alcohol or drugs in Fernando Jimenez Gonzalez's system.
Gonzalez died while working at a circuit board-making company in Redwood City. Gonzalez's father discovered his son dead Sept. 23 after becoming concerned when the young man didn't come home from work.
The state Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
SAN NICOLAS ISLAND
Search suspended for two Navy Seabees
The Coast Guard suspended its search Friday for two Navy Seabees who went missing while kayaking off Southern California's San Nicolas Island.
Rescuers had been scouring the area around the island since Christopher Victor and Justin Johnson were reported missing Wednesday by two friends who went kayaking with them.
Two kayaks were spotted about 35 miles southeast of the island Thursday, but there was no sign of the men.
"We have yet to find the missing men and, having exhausted all possibility that we will find survivors, I have ordered our active search suspended," Coast Guard Capt. Mark Hamilton said.
