Henderson police probe shooting death
An 18-year-old Henderson man was shot to death early Tuesday after an argument in a park, police said.
The gunfire erupted about 2:40 a.m. after a group of men, including victim James R. Williams, exchanged words with one of the gunmen as he walked through Roadrunner Park, near Boulder Highway and Racetrack Road, Henderson police said.
After the verbal exchange, the gunman walked to a car with two other men, and all three opened fire and killed Williams, police said.
The shooters drove away in a dark-colored Hyundai or Honda.

Pickup-flatbed crash leaves one man dead
A man died on Tuesday after his vehicle was struck by a flatbed truck on Summerlin Parkway near Anasazi Drive, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
Witnesses told authorities that the driver of the flatbed was westbound on Summerlin Parkway, when a tire on his vehicle blew out, Trooper Kevin Honea said.
The flatbed crossed the rock median and entered eastbound traffic on Summerlin, he said. The flatbed truck then struck a Toyota pickup, Honea said. The driver of the Toyota died at the scene, he said.
The driver of the flatbed truck was taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

California man missing, presumed drowned
A 22-year-old man from Fullerton, Calif., is presumed to have drowned at Lake Havasu over the weekend, authorities said.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the missing person report at 4:41 p.m. Saturday, Trish Carter, a spokeswoman for the department, said.
Lloyd Richard Rowland and others were swimming near Windsor Beach while waiting to use the ramp to pull their boat out of the water, but "when they all got back onto the boat they noticed that Rowland was missing," Carter said.
His body had not been reported found as of Tuesday night.

Man struck, killed walking along freeway
A man walking Tuesday morning on Interstate 15, near Blue Diamond Road, was killed when he was struck by a truck, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The man, who wasn't identified but was described as being in his 40s, was walking south in the freeway's far right-hand northbound lane at about 3:40 a.m. when the truck struck him, Trooper Kevin Honea said.
Authorities didn't know why the man was walking on I-15.
