SHOOTER SOUGHT

Nightclub bouncer shot to death

A bouncer for the 702 nightclub was gunned down in the club's parking lot Saturday morning, Las Vegas police said.

Police were called to the club in the 1700 block of Flamingo Road, east of Maryland Parkway, about 4:15 a.m. in response to a report of shots fired.

Officers soon found the security guard in the club's parking lot. He had been shot multiple times, police said.

Witnesses told police that earlier in the night the bouncer had escorted a man out of the club and the man returned a short time later and shot the bouncer, police said.

The shooter fled in a dark blue compact vehicle. Investigators are also interested in a white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban, that was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting.

The name of the victim was withheld by police.
