Kingman man found slain; person sought for questioning

A 54-year-old man was found slain in the bedroom of his Kingman home, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Tom Sheahan said deputies responded to the 2800 block of Lass Avenue at 6:23 a.m. Friday.

He said the victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of kin, suffered a puncture wound to the neck.

A person of interest wanted for questioning was identified as Eric Blake Depierro, 20, of Kingman. The sheriff said detectives were executing a number of search warrants Friday .

Man in wheelchair dies after being struck by car on offramp

A man in a motorized wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday on a highway offramp.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Joseph Fackrell said the man, who was not identified pending notification of family, was riding south on the northbound Spring Mountain Road offramp on Interstate 15 about 12:40 a.m. when he was struck.

He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The ramp was closed until 4 a.m.
