'Yeild to bikes' signs finally removed along Sparks road
Residents no longer have to shake their heads over two "Yeild to bikes" signs along a busy Sparks street.
Sparks officials say the misspelled signs were replaced after they were featured on MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" show on Thursday.
Lance Semenko is senior vice president of Q&D Construction, which is extending Vista Boulevard into Spanish Springs. He says his contractor didn't notice the misspelling of the word "yield" and it was an "honest mistake."

Reno man accused of stabbing woman, two of her children
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a female neighbor and two of her children.
Police say the children were in critical condition and the mother was in serious but stable condition at a Reno hospital.
Eric Williamson of Reno was booked late Friday on charges of attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon and sexual assault of a minor.
Williamson is accused of entering the mother's Doreen Court apartment and telling her that he was going to sexually assault her sleeping 8-year-old daughter.
Police say a struggle between the suspect and woman ensued and she was stabbed several times before she ran away with her 2-year-old daughter.

Lake Tahoe ski resort sued over fatal fall from chairlift
A family has sued a Lake Tahoe ski resort and other companies over the death of a man who fell from a chairlift at the resort.
Defendants named in the lawsuit filed Thursday in El Dorado County Superior Court include Heavenly Mountain Resort, Terra-Nova LLC and Sampson Rope Technologies.
Rebecca, Patrick and Bryan Dickson seek unspecified damages in connection with the Aug. 31 death of 51-year-old Mark Dickson.
