Investors say proposed OneCap Mortgage settlement won’t solve problems
About 45 investors, speaking by phone and in person at the Sawyer Building, today complained that a settlement proposed by troubled OneCap Mortgage and Mortgage Lending Commissioner Joe Waltuch will not solve their problems with the $400 million-asset hard-money lender.
The investors complained that the Mortgage Lending Division had not done more to protect them from alleged fraud at OneCap and that Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has failed to criminally prosecute officials at OneCap.
