iPad as print launch pad

The latest edition of the Danish newspaper "Information" (www.information.dk/) has a new look — its cover is a mock-up of an iPad display.

According to Cult of Mac blogger John Brownlee, the main story predicts the death of the print medium and says digital is the only way for publishers to go. It touts the iPad as a savior device that will breathe life into the traditional print industry.

I think it’s premature to say digital formats will surely replace print fully; the era of electronic readers is still too new. It's akin to our grandparents saying television will kill radio. (It didn’t.) E-readers are just another distribution channel, with tons of potential.
