iPad at Best Buy

There were 10 people lined up outside the door at the Summerlin Best Buy store, 10950 W Charleston Blvd., at 9 a.m. today. All were there to get an iPad, which made its debut at Apple Stores at 9 a.m. The Best Buy store doesn't open until 10 a.m., and several of the people said they'd been in line several hours.

They were relieved to see a single-sheet announcing the iPad at Best Buy taped to the inside of the door.

I'm still holding out for the next version of the device, as history has proven that Apple moves quickly to add features, reduce prices and expand distribution channels. Today's inclusion of Best Buy as a point of sale is a huge step for Apple, making their products available at more than 1,150 additonal locations.
