It’s black AND white

Microsoft Corp. has done it again. The "it" is playing with images in the company’s advertising message, although this time it's more dramatic — and controversial — than the company’s doctored video of the water sliding jumper.

This time the software giant has run two versions of the same photo in an online ad that ran in the United States and one that ran on the Web site of the company’s Polish subsidiary. In the American version, one of the subjects in the photo is a black man. In the Polish version, the man is white. Same suit. Same (black) hands. Different head.

Microsoft has apologized for the switcheroo. (http://bit.ly/rDP4U) It also apologized in its corporate Twitter feed: @microsoft.

What's next? How about undoctored images?
