Job fair for veterans set at speedway

A job fair will be held Thursday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to help military veterans and their families find employment in Southern Nevada and elsewhere.

The RecruitMilitary Career Fair sponsored by the Hire Vets First presidential committee, the American Legion and Military Spouse Corporate Career Network will have representatives on hand from national, regional and local employers to interview veterans and their spouses.

"Over 300 veterans are expected to attend this special event intended to help our recently returning troops and other veterans and service members, and their families find jobs," organizer Karen Galvin said in a news release.

The event will be at the speedway from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about the job fair, go to www.recruitmilitary.com.
