Just joking with the Searchlight jester

Now that we know Sen. Harry Reid was only joking when he told the R-J's ad director, "I hope you go out of business," perhaps you would like to read one writer's take on this sense of humor.

Writing in the Canada Free Press, some guy named Willian Kevin Stoos lances the senator with a satirical, profanity-laced send up replete with photoshopped illustration.

It is called "Senator Harry (The Jester) Reid Speaks to Stoos Views."

Come back and let me know what you think. Hysterical? Fitting? Disgusting? Ho hum? Vote in the poll below.

While you are on the Canada Free Press Web site, check out this commentary by some guy claiming to be Bob Beers, the former assemblyman from District 21, not the Bob Beers who ran for governor.

The piece is called "The Real Harry Reid," and contains this accusation:

"However, back in 1998 things were a bit different. In 1998 John Ensign was challenging incumbent Senator Harry Reid and both men were looking for municipal endorsements. Ensign asked politely. Reid, however, worked politics in a different fashion. He walked into the mayor’s office and demanded Montandon’s endorsement, threatening to “destroy the city” if he did not get what he wanted.

"Reid supporters will cry foul at this, but Mike Montandon related this tale to me firsthand. That is a picture of the real Harry Reid."
