JUST LIKE THE REAL KNICKS
It's halftime of Saturday's first game, and the Summer League Knicks are looking an awful lot like the somewhat real NBA Knicks.
They shot just 38.5 in falling behind the Bobcats 51-39 at halftime. Marcus Slaughter went 4-for-4 in the first quarter for Charlotte and didn't take a shot in the second period and still led the Bobcats with eight points. New York's Wilson Chandler matched Slaughter's point total.
Jermareo Davidson gave the Bobcats the highlight of the first half with a windmill dunk that shook the entire support.
FACES IN THE CROWD
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni and club president for basketball operations Donnie Walsh. Former Knicks star Walt Frazier is working courtside as an analyst for the MSG Network. Also, Kings coach Reggie Theus, a former UNLV standout, also took in the first half even though Sacramento doesn't play today.
NOT IN THE CROWD
Bobcats first-year coach Larry Brown. Maybe he's already looking for his next job. Executive Michael Jordan once again failed to show. Someone really needs to get that guy a GPS system.
