Kingman couple identified

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Police identified as Shawn Henry Nolte and Samantha Leigh Nolte the married Kingman couple who were discovered dead Tuesday morning in their Ellermann Drive home.

Sgt. Rusty Cooper said the couple, who were found on their bed, died of gunshot wounds to the head.

Cooper said investigators believe the shots were fired late Monday night, but they haven't established the sequence or manner in which the victims were shot. "It's either a murder-suicide or a suicide-suicide," Cooper said.

He said police recovered a small caliber semi-automatic handgun from the bedroom. He said there was no suicide note or any other obvious explanation of what triggered the deadly violence.
