Krzyzewski to return as U.S. Olympic coach

Mike Krzyzewski will return as USA Basketball's head coach for the 2012 Olympics. The official announcement was made today at a news conference at Wynn Las Vegas.

Krzyzewski guided Team USA to the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. The longtime Duke University coach will also coach the Americans at the 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championships in Turkey. In addition to Krzyzewski, his entire 2008 staff of New York Knicks head coach Mike D'Antonio, Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan and Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim will also be back.

Team USA begins a three-day mini-camp for 23 younger players Thursday at Valley High School culminating with a public intrasquad scrimmage Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
