Kyle Busch nailed for 128 mph in 45 zone

It’s a busy week for NASCAR drivers around Charlotte, N.C.

The Sprint All-Star race was Saturday, Hall of Fame inductions were held Monday night and most teams and drivers have a full schedule of appearances until Saturday night’s Coca-Cola 600.

Kyle Busch must have been a big hurry Tuesday afternoon.

The hottest driver in NASCAR this year allegedly put the pedal to the metal too much while driving his yellow Lexus sports car near his home in Mooresville, N.C.

The Statesville Record & Landmark reported an Iredell County Sheriff’s Department sergeant stopped Busch for going 128 mph in a 45-mph speed zone.

Busch, a Las Vegas native and NASCAR driver, was cited for careless and reckless driving, and speeding.
