LAP 190: BURTON LOOKING TO CONTINUE LAS VEGAS SUCCESS
Jeff Burton has been one of the most successful drivers at Las Vegas. He’s won two Cup races here while driving for Roush Racing and has a three Nationwide titles at the track.
After 180 laps, Burton has his No. 31 Childress Chevy in the lead.
A big surprise is that Bobby Labonte is running second. Labonte left Petty Enterprises after the last season and signed on to drive the No. 96 Ford of Hall of Fame racing early this year.
After 185 laps: Burton, Labtone, Johnson, Biffle, Gordon, Vickers, Kyle, Edwards, Stewart and Earnhardt.
Kurt is 25th.
Johnson got around Labonte with to take second on lap 187.
After 190 laps, Burton still looks strong. He’s 1 second ahead of Johnson.
