Las Vegas firefighters rescue worker from trench

Las Vegas firefighters rescued a construction worker stuck in a trench Wednesday afternoon.

Fire department spokesman Tim Szymanski said the worker was trapped under heavy equipment in a trench about 20 feet deep at 5426 Vegas Dr., near Michael Way.

The injured worker was pulled from the trench about 12:30 p.m. and taken to a hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
