Las Vegas girl reported missing Friday is found

The 15-year-old Las Vegas girl who went missing on Friday has been found.

Kearstin Ellis was found near Jaycee Park on Monday about noon, just a few miles from her home, according to Dave Cummings of Red Rock Search and Rescue.

Cummings said Ellis was last seen Friday at her school, but she didn’t get on the school bus to go home when school let out.

Ellis was diagnosed as bipolar and had been without her medication when she was found Monday, Cummings said.

She was taken into care by Child Protective Services, Cummings said. The Clark County Department of Family Services could not be reached for comment Monday.
