A house fire caused $750,000 worth of damages late Tuesday night near Patrick Lane and Torrey Pines Drive, according to fire officials.
Clark County firefighters received reports of a structure fire at 6445 Ponderosa Way around 11:45 p.m.
Responding crews discovered that the fire had spread into the attic area from the garage of a single-story home, and the nearest fire hydrant was 1,000 feet away.
Water supply issues were complicated after a vehicle ran over the fire hose, causing it to burst.
Crews finally were able to control the fire around 1:05 a.m.
Sixteen fire department apparatuses and 48 personnel from the county and Las Vegas fire departments responded to the call.
One of the two residents who were home at the time was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
