LOVE PROVES MULTIDIMENSIONAL

Kevin Love sure can rebound. Turns out he can pass, too.

After grabbing a rebound late in the first half for the Timberwolves, Love fired a full-court pass to Blake Ahearn, who blew Love's assist by missing the layup. Ahearn complained to an official when halftime began that he was fouled, but, hey, this is the Summer League.

Save those complaints for when the games count. And if you're counting on a questionable no-call to make the team, sorry, it won't happen.

But maybe Ahearn has a legitimate shot. He was the D-League Rookie of the Year last season, and even played in 12 games for the Heat, averaging 5.8 points.

As for Love, he continued to be a force on the boards, ending the first half with eight rebounds. He entered today leading the Summer League with 15 rebounds.

Love, who also scored eight points, is the highest remaining draft pick from this year's class in the Summer League. He was taken No. 5 overall out of UCLA.

Minnesota has two other former first-rounders on its Summer League team — Corey Brewer (No. 7 out of Florida in 2007) and Rodney Carney (No. 16 out of Memphis in 2006).

BUCKS TAKE HALFTIME LEAD ON TIMBERWOLVES

The Bucks eked out to a 37-35 halftime lead over the T-Wolves. Darius Washington led Milwaukee with 10 points.

Bryce Taylor matched that total for Minnesota.
