LV man, 66, killed in crash

A Las Vegas man died early Friday in a two-vehicle crash after his car ran a red light, Las Vegas police said.

Albert V. Heisser, 66, died at University Medical Center, where he was taken after the 6:45 a.m. collision at Lake Mead Boulevard and Michael Way.

Heisser was headed north on Michael when his 1996 Honda Accord ran a red light, police said. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup traveling east on Lake Mead broadsided the Accord, police said.

The truck's driver, 47-year-old Maurice Anderson of Las Vegas, suffered minor injuries.

Investigators believe Heisser might have had a medical problem that contributed to the crash.
