LV man arrested in fatal crash

A 52-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested Saturday for driving under the influence, hitting a motorcyclist who later died and attempting to flee the collision scene, Las Vegas police said.
Police did not release the identity of the 53-year-old Las Vegas man who was ejected from his motorcycle and died after being taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Police arrested Carlos Henriquez after the crash, which happened about 6:22 p.m. on East Tropicana Avenue and South Titanium Avenue.
Police said Henriquez was westbound on Tropicana and turning left to head south on Titanium when his Dodge Ram hit the motorcyclist, who was on a 2004 Harley-Davidson.
A second motorcyclist, identified by police as 47-year-old Deborah Carrao, laid down her 2005 Harley-Davidson to avoid crashing into a vehicle. She was treated at Sunrise for minor injuries.
Police said Henriquez tried to flee and was stopped by witnesses.
Also, about 6:45 a.m. Saturday, 22-year-old Melody McLallen was arrested after Las Vegas police said she struck a bicyclist on the Strip and tried to flee the scene.
