LV man dies from injuries in car wreck

A 21-year-old motorist died Sunday night from injuries he had suffered when he wrecked his car Sunday morning, police said.

Charles Cassels died about 10 p.m. at University Medical Center, police said.

The Las Vegas resident had not been wearing a seat belt when the speeding 2003 Hyundai Accent he was driving spun out of control about 3:25 a.m. on Centennial Center Parkway south of Tropical Parkway, police said.

The car left the roadway and hit a palm tree, throwing Cassels into the back seat.
