LV police asking for information on slaying suspect

Anyone who had contact with a 34-year-old British motivational speaker who is now a suspect in the slaying of a Las Vegas woman is being asked to call Las Vegas police.

Michael Lane, who also uses the name "Chae Saville," has been arrested in California in connection with the slaying of Ginger Candela, 44. She was found dead Nov. 30 in the garage of her east valley home, which had been ransacked.

Las Vegas police said Lane is involved in "spiritual healing" and motivational speaking. Detectives think Lane might have befriended several women and possibly defrauded them. He has visited Las Vegas, San Diego and Portland, Ore.

Anyone who knew Lane or has knowledge of Candela's death is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department's homicide section at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
