LV police investigate dead man by road

A man's body was found off the side of the road in the far east valley Thursday afternoon, the victim of an apparent homicide.

Las Vegas police said an anonymous caller told police about 3 p.m. that a man was injured or possibly dead off the side of Los Feliz Street, near Hollywood Boulevard and Bonanza Road.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case. Lt. Lew Roberts said investigators believe the man's body had been at that location for a few hours.

They didn't know how he died late Thursday afternoon and did not have any suspect descriptions.

"We don't have much to go on right now," Roberts said.
