Man arrested in fatal shooting in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas police today have arrested a 19-year-old man in the May 10 fatal shooting of a man in an apartment complex.

Detectives obtained a search warrant and arrested John Coleman at his home around noon today, police said.

He is being charged with murder and attempted murder for a shooting at an apartment complex at 6551 McCarran Street, near Losee Road and Centennial Parkway. The 11 p.m. shooting left 19-year-old Christopher Devereaux dead and a 17-year-old boy injured with nonlife threatening injuries.

Police are searching for a second suspect, 20-year-old Joshaun Shelby-Daugherty, in the killing.
