A man is dead following an early morning shooting near Alexander Road and D Street. A driver in the area around 4 a.m. saw the man lying on the sidewalk called police, said Las Vegas police Lt. Tim Odpendyk.
When authorities arrived, the man was dead from apparent gunshot wounds and homicide detectives were called to the scene. Information about suspects or motives were not available Wednesday morning.
