Man dies, 2 children survive Laughlin rollover

A 32-year-old Pahrump man is dead after a roll-over crash in Laughlin, but two children riding with him escaped with minor injuries.

Las Vegas police said a Toyota 4 Runner was driving on Casino Drive, east of Needles Highway, when it veered off the road shortly after 8 p.m. Monday and rolled over.

Police said the driver, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 8-year-old Pahrump girl and a 6-year-old Pahrump boy, who were wearing seat belts, were taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The death marks the 78th traffic fatality in the Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
