Man dies after being found shot at crash scene

A man is dead after being found shot in his car at the scene of a crash on the 215 Beltway near Eastern Avenue Thursday night.

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a four-car accident about 7:30 p.m. A trooper found the man in a black Jeep suffering from from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Metro Lt. John Liberty.

The victim, who police said was in his 20s, was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Liberty said.

The 215 Beltway near Eastern will remain closed for at least a few more hours while police investigate.

Liberty said police also are investigating at another scene that may be related to the shooting, but he didn’t give the location.
