Man dies when car falls on him

A 32-year-old Las Vegas man died Thursday when a car he was working on fell on top of him in the northeast valley, Las Vegas police said.

Police did not identify the deceased man.

Police said the accident occurred at 12:46 p.m. when the man was performing maintenance on a 1995 Honda Civic. The car was parked on the dirt shoulder of Walnut Road, north of Lake Mead Boulevard.

The car was up on jack stands when it became unstable and fell, police said. The incident is under investigation.
