Man faces charges in North Las Vegas stabbing death

A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in a stabbing death on Monday, North Las Vegas police said.

William Robinson, 52, was arrested at his apartment near Bruce Street and Carey Avenue in North Las Vegas about 4:30 p.m. He was booked into jail on one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

On Monday, police went to an apartment near Las Vegas Boulevard and Carey Avenue, where they found the body of a man on the floor with stab wounds.

Police said they believe Robinson and the victim were acquaintances. Robinson was in the victim’s apartment on Monday when the two men began arguing, which led to a physical confrontation and the victim being stabbed multiple times, police said.

When the victim’s roommate came home a few hours later, she found him dead on the floor of the apartment and called police.
