CARSON CITY - A 28-year-old man has been arraigned on an open murder charge in the death of a woman in a Carson City road rage incident.
The Nevada Appeal reported that Leonardo Cardoza of Carson City was ordered held without bail during a Friday hearing in Justice Court stemming from the death of 19-year-old Desiree Bragg.
Deputies say Bragg was riding in a car driven by her fiancé the night of Jan. 26 when they noticed a van tailgating close behind on College Parkway. They pulled into Bragg's mother's driveway and got out of the car.
Deputies said that's when the van driver accelerated into Bragg, causing multiple injuries. She was taken to a Reno hospital, where she died Wednesday.
Cardoza awaits a March 22 hearing.
