Man found dead after police standoff

One man was found dead Sunday night after a domestic dispute turned police standoff in the 6300 block of Hobart Avenue, near Jones Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

After Las Vegas police were called to the residence about 7 p.m., they tried to make contact with a male subject inside. They entered the home, the man fired a gun and an officer fired his weapon as well, police said.

Officers retreated outside the home and formed a perimeter along with SWAT officers and negotiators for several hours.

When authorities later entered the home, they found a man dead.

Police said they didn't know whose bullet killed the man.

Police did not identify the dead man.
