Man found shot to death after dispute

A Las Vegas man was shot and killed early Sunday after intervening in an argument, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

Officers were called to the shooting on the 2900 block of Clifford Avenue near Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue at 2:48 a.m. They found the man dead of multiple gunshot wounds. Police did not release the identity or the age of the victim.

Police said the victim and his roommate saw a man they knew arguing with several other men at an apartment building across the street. The victim attempted to intervene and was gunned down.

Police have not ruled out the possibility that multiple suspects may be involved. The suspect or suspects fled in a black, four-door Lincoln Town Car, police said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555; or the Metropolitan Police Department at 828-3521.
