Man killed in Sunday crash on Route 160 identified

The 61-year-old man who was killed Sunday in a crash on state Route 160 near Blue Diamond Road has been identified by the Clark County coroner‘€™s office.

He is Patrick Denley of Henderson.

Denley was a passenger in a white Ford Focus, eastbound on Route 160, when it crashed with a westbound silver Pontiac Bonneville about 10 a.m. The Pontiac had driven into the eastbound lane to pass slower drivers, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Denley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 24-year-old driver of the Pontiac was seriously injured and the 16-year-old driver of the Ford had minor injuries. Both were taken to University Medical Center.

This is NHP‘€™s 40th fatal crash for 2015.
