Man pushing bicycle struck, killed in collision with motorcyclist

A 46-year-old Las Vegas man pushing a bicycle near Hollywood Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive was struck and killed by a man riding a motorcycle Sunday night, Las Vegas police said.

The motorcyclist was traveling north on Hollywood Blvd. around 9:40 p.m. Sunday on a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the victim, who was pushing his bicycle, turned to cross the road.

The pedestrian, motorcyclist and his passenger all slid into the roadway.

The man walking the bicycle was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he later died.

The motorcyclist, 46-year-old Michael Hartley, is listed in critical condition at the hospital.
