Man shot and killed in NLV apartment complex

A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in a North Las Vegas apartment complex tonight.

North Las Vegas police Sgt. Tim Bedwell said police were called about 9:15 p.m. over reports of shots fired at the Cheyenne Villas apartments at 3260 Fountain Falls Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Martin L. King Boulevard. Police were still investigating what prompted the shooting tonight.

Neighbors said they heard seven shots from what sounded like automatic gunfire. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
