Statewide voter turnout reached nearly one-third of the electorate with three days of early voting remaining, according to the secretary of state's office.
Through the end of voting Tuesday, 391,000 of the state's 1.2 million active registered voters had cast ballots statewide, a turnout of 32 percent.
In Clark County, the turnout of 274,000 was 34 percent of active voters, and continued to be overwhelmingly Democratic.
Through Tuesday, 147,000 Democrats had voted early in Clark County, representing 54 percent of voters, while the 81,000 Republicans represented 30 percent of those who had voted. The rest were nonpartisans or members of minor parties, according to the Clark County Election Department.
The numbers reflect only the party with which voters are registered, not necessarily which party's candidates are winning the election. Election results will not be released until after the polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 4.
Washoe County also continued to see more Democrats than Republicans voting. Through Tuesday, the Washoe turnout of more than 68,000 voters represented 30 percent of active voters, including 34,000 Democrats, or 50 percent, and 23,000 Republicans, or 34 percent.
Partisan statistics for the state's 15 rural counties were not available. The rural counties tend to be heavily Republican and make up less than 15 percent of the statewide voter total.
Based on past elections, officials expect half of those who vote to do so during the 14-day early voting period, another 10 percent to cast mail ballots and about 40 percent of the votes to be cast on Election Day.
Early voting continues through Friday, which is a state holiday, Nevada Day. Hours and locations vary. Registered voters should consult the sample ballot they got in the mail for details, or check online at www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/election.
