Media uncover Knapp nuptials
A snitch spilled the beans on the wedding of KLAS-TV, Channel 8, investigative reporter George Knapp and longtime girlfriend Anne "The Viking" Fechner.
Knapp's KLAS boss of many years, Bob Stoldal, got wind of the wedding and provided a personal touch.
"Anne's friend Katie Taylor is a hairstylist who also cuts Bob's hair," Knapp said Thursday, responding to my query.
Taylor informed Stoldal about the wedding "while we were in the planning stages," Knapp said.
As it turned out, Stoldal was planning to be with his family in Maui during the same time frame as the nuptials.
"He went out and got himself ordained ... in three different denominations ... online churches ... whatever the heck they are. And yes," Knapp said, "he performed the ceremony."
The wedding took place Aug. 4 in Hawaii, from an overlook on Kauai's Kalapaki Bay.
