Missing ‘Bob Newhart’ DVDs saga, part two
This morning, following my blog post yesterday lambasting Fox Home Entertainment for not releasing DVDs of seasons five and six of "The Bob Newhart Show," I received an e-mail response from the production company. Here's what it said in its entirety:
"At this time we do not have a release date for any other seasons of ‘The Bob Newhart Show.' You may check back in the near future.
"Thank you,
"Fox Consumer"
Do I detect a minor note of encouragement from "Fox Consumer" that the missing DVDs eventually will be released? I'd like to think so.
I'm certain I was not the first person to inquire of the company's plans regarding "The Bob Newhart Show" DVDs. More importantly, I should not be the last. I urge anyone interested in this issue to write to Fox at FoxDrop@4icc.com and keep the pressure on. Maybe Las Vegans and others reading this blog can make the difference in getting the DVDs released.
