Model, suspect at Lake Mead in May

Ryan Jenkins, the suspect in the slaying of Las Vegas model Jasmine Fiore, was seen boating with her at Lake Mead in May.

They were on Jenkins' small boat, the same one that the U.S. Coast Guard found abandoned on Thursday in Blaine, Wash., according to a source, who recognized it from media coverage.

Jenkins, who is not yet in custody and who was a contestant in the now-postponed reality show "Megan Wants a Millionaire," was charged with murder Thursday in Buena Park, Calif. Bail was set at $10 million.

Fiore's naked body was found in a suitcase in a trash bin on Saturday in Southern California. Her teeth and fingers had been removed, police said.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said "without question, 100 percent, it was the same boat."

Jenkins, 32, and Fiore, 28, were married March 18, a couple days after they met in Las Vegas.

Fiore's mother said the marriage was annulled in May after "a blowup," according to The Associated Press.

Jenkins was charged in June in Clark County with a misdemeanor count of "battery constituting domestic violence" for allegedly hitting Fiore in the arm, the AP reported.

Jenkins was among the finalists of VH1's "Millionaire." The third episode aired Sunday. The show was taped in the spring.

Fiore accompanied UFC star Chuck Liddell down the red carpet at the October 2006 grand opening of Social House restaurant at Treasure Island.

Liddell, reached in Los Angeles where he is rehearsing for the new season of "Dancing With the Stars," told a UFC spokeswoman that he had not had contact with Fiore in years.

The "Millionaire" production company, 51Minds, issued a statement Thursday saying it was not aware of Jenkins' record and "did what it thought was a thorough vetting process."

The statement read: "Obviously, if the company had been given a full picture of his background, he would never have been allowed on the show."
