Money for college

The Public Education Foundation has awarded 338 scholarships, valued at nearly $840,000, to 220 high school seniors in Clark County. Scholarships ranged from $500 to $4,000 and were awarded on a variety of criteria, such as academic achievement, area of study and financial need.

The foundation is a local nonprofit that raises money for public schools in Clark County and other educational opportunities. Since 1994, the foundation has awarded more than 2,100 scholarships worth about $5 million to local high school seniors.
