Motivational speaker pleads not guilty to murder charge

A motivational speaker charged with the November slaying of a 44-year-old Las Vegas woman pleaded not guilty today to murder and attempted murder charges.

Michael Victor Lane, who also uses the name "Chae Saville," could face capital punishment in the death of Ginger Candela, prosecutors said.

Lane is accused of killing Candela and stuffing her body into a garbage can. He is also accused of attacking a person he reportedly met for sex.

Lane is also charged with battery with use of a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon.
