Motorcyclist critical after collision in western Las Vegas

A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries after being hit by a sedan Thursday morning, according to Las Vegas police.
The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. at Desert Primrose Lane and South Town Center Drive.
A 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Town Center while a 2014 Kia Rio was sitting at a stop sign at the intersection, police said. The Kia then proceeded into the intersection and the motorcycle hit its left side.
The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries and Metro’s fatal detail was called to the scene.
The intersection was closed for several hours while police investigated.
